Cheap Jack Haul

This is a bit of a random post. I pass Cheap Jack on Hill Road on the way to work everyday, and I’ve always been really curious to go inside. It’s sort of a Bandra institution and a one stop shop for, well, almost anything.

Bandra’s Got Talent

Last Sunday was the first day of the inter-parish Andrean Zonals. Started by the St. Andrews parish 56 years ago, the competition is now open to all of Bandra. Over 3 weekends the participants will compete in instrumental and vocal sections, choir, dramatics, dance and a talent show. As far as community building events go, the Zonals are a wonderful example.
